NetFlix Debuts “The Healing Powers of Dude”

The Netflix household comedy show THE HEALING POWERS OF DUDE, 11-year old Noah Ferris (Jace Chapman) is fighting with a social anxiety disorder. The easiest everyday tasks feel like he is drowning in quicksand. But later years of schooling, Noah reluctantly decides he wishes to offer middle school a opportunity. Perhaps he could also make some friends he is not related to.

To help him navigate his new surroundings, his parents (Tom Everett Scott and Larisa Oleynick) get Noah a scruffy, high-energy psychological support dog called Dude (voiced by Steve Zahn). Dude’s a beginner with a brief attention span. He can be diverted with treats. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in charm, spunk and desiring the best for Noah.

If this improbable group can discover a way to overcome their differences and work together, they might just endure everything.

The series showcases adventures with wisecracking pre-teens into a cat-obsessed school chief. They still just might make it throughout the school . Created by Sam Littenberg-Weisberg and Erica Spates (Coop and Cami Ask that the World), THE HEALING POWERS OF DUDE is a buddy comedy about a boy, his dog and the ability of friendship which may arrive in almost any form, or strain.
