The Wackiest Seconds In Space
Space really is the last frontier. Most of us assume our courageous astronauts are constantly hard at work, but just how much do we really know about what happens there? Amid the dull experiments along with the boundless care some amazing, frightening, and incredibly goofy things have occurred.
These out-of-this-world events actually occurred, and they’re only the ones that we know about!
In Space, Corned Beef Can Kill You
Back in 1965, aboard NASA’s first two-man area assignment, Gemini 3, astronauts John Young and Gus Grissom tried the first-ever space brunch. The mid-flight bite of corned beef on rye turned hazardous as Grissom took his first bite and crumbs moved anywhere. On Earth, crumbs wouldn’t be an issue but at the weightless environment of space, they might disrupt an electrical circuit or chewing gum up a tool panel.
The brunch was a collapse and future space dishes would include bite-sized parts coated in gelatin. At the very least beef sandwich was, at the words of John Young,”fairly great in the event, it’d only hold together”.
Ground Control To Colonel Hadfield
It was a slow day aboard the International Space Station when Colonel Chris Hadfield chose to grab the guitar, since they have those in distance, and album one of the most exquisite music videos of all time. The tune he appropriately chose was the traditional tune”Space Oddity” by the legendary David Bowie.
The video moved viral on YouTube into the tune of roughly 27 million viewpoints. Since that time David Bowie has sadly passed away. A thankful Colonel Hadfield provided these parting words Twitter:”Ashes to ashes, dust to stardust. Your grandma motivated us all. Goodbye, Starman.”
The Space Twin Experiment
The one thing which places the Kelly Brothers, Mark and Scott, besides different twins is the fact that Scott appears to be an astronaut and Mark appears to be a former astronaut. Soon before Scott embarked on a yearlong flight at the ISS someone at NASA discovered a chance and establish a small experimentation. Employing a collection of psychological and physical examinations NASA would find whether Scott, flying around from the International Space Station, transformed in a sense that his Earth-bound brother didn’t.
We have until March of 2017 before any results have been published, but if funny books have taught us anything one of them will probably possess super powers.
A UFO That Seems Like the ‘Millennium Falcon’
Back in April 2016 Jadon Beeson had been seeing a live stream from a camera on the International Space Station. The young guy was baffled when he discovered what seemed to be a huge metallic object at the space. The thing was explained by Jadon as like the Millennium Falcon in the Star Wars movies.
The”craft” appeared to rise up and move quickly away in the space stationoff to the next stop on the Kessel run. Jadon captured a screenshot of this item and shipped it to NASA asking an explanation. One can only presume they’re consulting with George Lucas before providing an answer.
